Jane Cathryn Pattishall
| Unfortunatley, little information is know about our Jane Cathryn
Pattishall. I have surmised from the various census records she was born in Chatham
County, North Carolina between 1830 and 1835. Her parents or siblings are unknown to me at
this point in time, even though I do have some "put togethers" as to who they
might be. As you well know, we can not go by inconclusive guestimations! She married Benjamin Franklin Bibb in Cotton Plant, St. Francis township, Arkansas, April 3, 1851, by, Waldens, J.P. this information I have from Benjamins statements on the application for disability from the Department of the Interior records in 1903, from his statement, there was no record in existence at that time of their marriage, which I am sure was a direct result of the Civil War and so many documents were confiscated or destroyed during that time period. After their marriage Benjamin and Jane went to Carroll Co. Tennessee, where their first child was born ca. 1852~53, Wm. Garrett, deceased prior to 1903, he was living and 7 years old in the 1860 census of Greene Co. Arkansas, |
