Many enjoyed visiting in the atrium where complimentary beer, wine, and cocktails were available at the manager's reception .
7 PM - 9 PM
Ballroom: Ken did a great job telling all about how the organization started. Founders Night was a great success with introductions, a little CFA history and review of CFA"s weekend program.

Friday, May 5:

Guests did enjoy a complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast.
After breakfast: We took a all day bus tour.(More about this later) A wonderful lunch was served by the women at the Air Force Visitors Center and gift shop. Many purchased some wonderful things at the gift shop.

8 PM Dinner Flying W Ranch Information is here. What great fun and food! We all really enjoyed the food and intertainment at the Flying W Ranch and Steak House. The Cowboys not only sang great but some of the single (and not so single) women thought they look very nice also!

They donated two signed CDs for auction table.

We had a choice of steak, chicken or sea food. The steak was the big winner.

Some very tired cowboys and cowgirls returned to the bunk house around 10 PM for a needed rest. It was a very long day for all.

SATURDAY, May 6:

The cook to order breakfast was great along with some fresh fruit and coffee.
9 AM - NOON Ballroom: CFA Program, table auction, and CFA election of officers was held.(More about this later) The auction was so much fun. Many wonderful things were donated to the table and many won the things they wanted.

We had a very good auction table, this really helps keep registration cost down. Many thanks to all who donated the many great items to this event.

Noon lunch served in the Ballroom.
The board meeting was held after lunch and many enjoyed some free time. Some joined friends in Hospitality Room, some took a nap or saw the city. Many took advantage of the Calkins Family Association Research Library made available by Ken Calkins from Golden, Co. A copy machine was available to make copies of research materials. Penny ran out of dimes and had to hit up her sister for more funds. Thanks to Penny, CFA hit a break even point on the copier!

5:30 PM - 7:30 PM Manager's reception with free beer, wine, and cocktails.
7 PM Ballroom: Evening program and banquet.(More about this later)Please e-mail me any pictures you would like to see here.

SUNDAY, May 7:

Very sad fair wells Ken helps many with question in the Hospitality Room. A special thanks to all who donated books for the Library. One big stack was donated by a "Long Lost Cousin", Don Calkins and his wife Kay.
Calkins Family Association Research Library and copy machine was a big hit. many thanks too Ken and also Linda Vixie, who did the treats for the book bag and also got the copy machine for us.

This is just a start on this page, so please e-mail or send me anything you would like to add to this page. Do you have a special story to tell about your fun at the reunion? I must tell you, I had a great time. As all of you know, I was very stressed about the remodeling, I was told it would be completed in March of 2006. I walked in and found they were jack-hammering up the Lobby! I was not a happy camper. I was about to go camping in the park. Thanks you all for being so understand about something I really had no comtrol over. I had told them, "I will not schedule this reunion here, if you are going to have the place all torn-up." Judie Schiel So Sorry to say, it is over, but now we can look forward to 2009 and Syracuse, NY.If you are a member of the Calkins Family Assocation, you will soon receive in the mail your copy of the "Calkins World".
