A lovely little boy came to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Martin early Friday morning but a few hours. Interment made of Saturday afternoon in Elkland cemetery. The parents have the sympathy of their friends 04-16-1909


The little adopted child of Nelson Smith and wife died on Friday, the funeral sermon was preached on Sunday afternoon in the L. D. S. church by Elder Wm. Cargill and the remains interred in Riverside cemetery. 05-26-1905


The roads were shoveled on Tuesday so the remains of the Donaldson baby might be buried.
The three-months-old baby or Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Donaldson died on Monday, Feb. 3, of inflammation of the lungs.

Child Drowns in Ditch-

Lloyd, two year old son of Mr and Mrs. Alex Greenleaf, was drowned in a ditch at the Greenleaf farm a miIe from Hemans Tuesday morning. Mr. Greenleaf was busy at the barn at the time and thought the little fellow was in the house with his mother, while the mother supposed the boy was with his father. It is thought that the boy lay in the ditch two hours before the body was discovered. Mr. and Mrs. James Greenleaf of Cass City are the grandparents of Lloyd and attended the funeral service which was held Thursday.


Mr. and Mrs. John Connell, jr., are mourning the death of their infant son, John Andrew, who died this week. He leaves his parents, and three sisters. 12-19-1924


Boy Shoots Baby; Playing With Gun
Tragedy in Gilford Township, Tuscola County, Results in Death

The little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Spencer, residing in Gilford township, was shot by Claude Kelly, eight-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Kelly. As the Kelly and Spencer boys were playing with the gun, the Kelly boy remarked, "I am going to shoot the baby." The Spencer boy grabbed the gun, the explosion burning his hair, but not in time to avert the death of his little sister.
The shell was "blank", but the wadding fired at close range struck the child which was asleep, on the side of the head, causing almost instant death. The child was one year and a half old

Helen Louise, a little daughter of Walter Sayers, of Indianfields township, while playing, fell from a fence into a water tank and drowned about 2:30 p. m. on Thursday, Sept. 18. The accident occurred three miles west and one half mile south of Caro.

Small Child Drowned in Bath Tub in Home near Gagetown

Lorn Charles Beckett
, 21-months-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Beckett, residing in Elkland Township, southeast of Gagetown, was accidentally drowned in four inches of water in a small bath tub in the Beckett home on Thursday, Sept. 21. The mother had left the child to play in the tub after giving him a bath. He went to sleep and fell forward with his face in the water. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Ft. McCullough in St. Agatha's Church here on Saturday morning and interment was made in the parish cemetery in Gagetown. Besides his parents, he is survived by one brother, Patrick.

Baby's Funeral—

The two-months-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Clark passed away and the funeral service was held on Sunday afternoon at the John Clark home. The pastor of the Cass City Nazarene Church, Rev. George Bugbee, had charge of the service.

Earl Spencer Infant Died Monday

Funeral services for Lyle Dean Spencer, ten month old son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Spencer, were held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Munro funeral home. Rev. Melvin Vender officiated and burial was in Novesta cemetery
The baby was born in January, 1945 in Novesta township and passed away Monday in the Morris hospital here, following a short illness
Surviving are the parents, two half brothers and a number of brothers and sisters at home

Sharrard Baby Dies In Local Hospital

Baby Trudy Rae Sharrard died at Cass City Hospital Wednesday, June 4. She had been a patient one hour.
She was born in Cass City May 27, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Sharrard of Shabbona.
Surviving are one sister, Janice, at home; her parents; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Josh Sharrard, of Decker; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Robarts of Bad Axe. Funeral services were held Thursday at 2:00 p. m., Rev. Lewis Caister officiating ,and burial was in Elkland Cemetery.

Funeral services were held Tuesday for Larry W. Moriartey, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Moriartey of Snover. The infant died at birth Sunday in Pleasant Home Hospital in Cass City

Wilson Baby Dies In Saginaw Hospital
William George Wilson, five-month-old son of George Wilson of Gagetown, died of pneumonia Thursday, Oct. 30, in Saginaw General Hospital. The baby had been ill for three weeks.
He was born May 19, 1958, in Cass City Hospital. Surviving are his parents, a sister, Linda Marie, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wilson, Russell Burton and Mrs. Hattie Moore. Rev. Russell Stanley, pastor of the Gagetown Nazarene Church, officiated at the funeral service Monday afternoon at the Hunter Funeral Home, Gagetown. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.

Kirchner Baby Dies In Ford Hospital

Funeral services for Carl Kurt Kirchner, three-week-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Kirchner, were held Friday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Pancratius Church. Rev. Isadore Mikulski officiated and burial was in Elkland Cemetery. The baby, ill since birth Nov. 24 in Cass City Hospital, died Dec. 16 in Ford Hospital Detroit.
He is survived by his parents; a sister, Cary, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Fuester of Cass City and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kirchner of Saginaw.

Witzke Baby Dies In Saginaw Hospital
Roxanne Witzke
, nine-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Witzke of Gagetown, died Sunday, March 29, in St. Luke's Hospital in Saginaw.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at St. Peter's Lutheran Church at Bach, Rev. E. W. Scheck , officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Hunter Funeral Home, Gagetown, was in charge of arrangements.
The baby was born June 16,1958, in Bad Axe hospital. .Surviving are her parents; a brother, Arnold, four, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Witzke of Gagetown and Mr. and Mrs. Wrayburn Krohn of Cass City

Funeral Services Held for Orzel Baby

Funeral services for three weeks-old Jennifer Ann Orzel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Orzel of Cass City, were held Wednesday at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic church at Unionville. The Rev. Peter Pijnapples officiated and burial was in Columbia township cemetery, Unionville.
The baby, born prematurely, died Monday night in Hubbard Memorial hospital at Bad Axe. The remains were in Little's Funeral Home.
Surviving are the parents, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Orzel of Gagetown and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Schultz of Unionville, and great-grandparents, Mrs. Mary Orzel of Detroit, Mrs. Ottis Weihl of Cass City and Godfrey Schultz of Caro.

Final Rites Monday For McLain Baby

Funeral services for nine-month-old Kathleen Joann McLain, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fulton McLain, were held Saturday evening in the Douglas Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Searls officiated. The remains were taken Sunday to Adrian where funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Braun Funeral Home with the Rev. Howard Emrick officiating. Burial was made near Tecumseh
Kathleen died Friday night in the Hills and Dales Hospital, where she had been a patient for several days
Mr. McLain, local science teacher, and his wife and baby came here Sept. 1 from Hudson. The child was born at Adrian April 16, 1960
Surviving besides her parents, are grandparents, the Rev. and Mrs. C. W. Kelley of Irwin, Pa., and Mr. and Mrs. Raynor McLain of Manitou Beach, Mich

Sefton Baby Dies—
Carol Lynn, four-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sefton of Kingston, died Feb. 18 at Hills and Dales General Hospital in Cass City.
She had been ill with pneumonia three days.
Carol was born Oct. 26, 1960, at Hills and Dales Hospital and is survived by her parents and three sisters, Kathy, Patti and Nancy.
Fr. Raymond Pilarski officiated at the final rites Tuesday,Feb. 21, at the Harmon Funeral Home, Kingston. Burial was in Kingston cemetery.

Strickland Baby Dies In Saginaw Hospital

Funeral services for William Ray Strickland, 10-day-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Strickland, were held Friday morning in Little's Funeral Home. The baby died June 5 in Saginaw General Hospital where he had been a patient one day. He was born in Cass City May 26.
Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray .Strickland; a brother, Michael; two sisters, Cynthia end Patricia, all at home, and grandmothers, Mrs. Mary Strickland of Cass City and Mrs. Orvilla Harris of Baxter, Tenn.
The Rev. Richard Canfield, Cass City Baptist -Church pastor, officiated and burial was in Elkland cemetery

Funeral services for Bruce J. Booms, 13-month-old son of .Mr. and Mrs. James Booms, Harbor Beach, were held Thursday in Harbor Beach following his death Tuesday, May 26, at Mercy Hospital, Bay City, shortly, after admittance.
He was born April 11, 1963, in Bad Axe.
Surviving, besides his parents, are: three sisters, Susan, Joan and Colleen, and a brother, Bryan, all at home, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Booms of Harbor Beach and Mr. and Mrs. Angus Sweeney of Ubly.
The Rev. Cornelius McEachin officiated at graveside services at Our Lady of Lake Huron Cemetery.

Funeral Wednesday For Neitteth Infant

Funeral services for Thomas Alan Nemeth, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Nemeth of Kingston, were held -Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Little's Funeral Home. Rev. Richard Eyer, pastor of the Lutheran church, officiated and burial was in No vesta cemetery. The baby died Sunday in Flint Osteopathic hospital where he had been a patient two months. He was born in Cass City Oct. 30, 1965.
Surviving are his parents; two sisters, Sherry and Susan, and two brothers, James and Scott, all at home; and grandparents, Mrs. Leone Zemke and Charles Nemeth, both of Deford.

Services Held for Izydorek Infant

Funeral services for two-day-old Scott Michael Izydorek were held Tuesday with Mass of the Angels at, 10 a. m. in St. Pancratius church. Rev. Arnold Messing officiated and burial was in Elkland cemetery.
Son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul and Karen Powell Izydorek of Decker, the baby was bom July 15 at Caro Community hospital and died Sunday. Surviving are his parents, a sister Shannon, at home, and grandparents, Mrs. Louise Izydorek of Cass City and Mr. and Mrs. Sanford Powell of Gagetown.

Funeral services for Dalbert Wright, three-weeks-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Dalbert Wright of Argyle township, were to be held Wednesday at 3:30 p. m. in Little's Funeral Home. Rev. Milton Gelatt officiated and burial was in Verona cemetery.
The baby died Oct. 30 in Cass City Hospital. He was born in the hospital Oct. 2.
Surviving are his parents; a sister, Kimberly Ann; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jordan of Cass City and Mrs. Elizabeth Brown of Detroit, and great-grandparents, Mrs. Anna Jordan of North Dakota and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Eickoff of California.

Private funeral services for day-old Brian Scott Rockwell were held Tuesday, April 23, in Little's Funeral Home. Rev. Ernest Gibson officiated and burial was in Elkland cemetery.
The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rockwell was born April 20 in Hills and Dales Hospital and died Sunday.
Surviving, besides his parents, are a sister, Paula, at home; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Rockwell and Mrs. Hazel Jones of Decker, and great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Esckilsen of Cass City, Mrs. Harry Rockwell of Snover and John D. Jones of Decker.

She was born Aug. 21, in San Antonio, Texas. The family came to this area in September
Surviving besides her parents are one brother; Steven Lee II, at home; her paternal grandparents, Bill Bean of Detroit and Mrs. Dorothy Mulrath of Cass City; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Grammactico of Cass City; paternal great-grandfather, Slocomb Bean of Detroit, and great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hadam, of Cass City
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon from Little's Funeral home, Cass City, with Rev. James Van Dellen of Good Shepard Lutheran church of Cass City, officiating
