"Leaving behind his parents Duncan McCormack and Ann (Kelso) McCormack, John McCormack and his wife Catherine (Kerr) McCormack (pioneers) emigrated to Canada from the Isle of Arran, Scotland and received a land grant of 200 acres in Blackland, New Brunswick. John's brother William McCormack and his wife Flora (MacKenzie) McCormack and family departed from the Isle of Arran at the same time, and also received a land grant of 200 acres in Blackland.
...
They landed in Dalhousie, New Brunswick in June of 1832."
