Joseph
Fisher
Joseph Fisher was
born in New York in 1814, I believe he was born in Ulster County. However,
I can not prove that at this time. About 1842 Joseph married Phoebe Tarket, probably the daughter of Francis and
Kesiah Tarket, in Sullivan County. Joseph was a farmer by trade. I believe Joseph
died after the birth of his daughter Mary Jane in 1862. His wife
and children were living in Scranton Pennsylvania in 1870, where Phebe is listed
as a widow. Whether Joseph made the trip to Pennsylvania with his family is not
known.
