Johan Peter Bolich was born in Pennsylvania on November 23, 1759 and baptised in Trappe Church December 26, 1760. Before 1781 he  moved to Caernarvon, Berks County. It is here where he served in the American Revolution under Captain Robinson, Berks Militia Company for at least 14 days. He applied for and received depreciation pay on December 7,1790.
On November 21, 1782, two days shy of his 23rd birthday he married Catherine Ries. The only information currently available on Catherine is that she was born about 1761. Peter and Catherine have thirteen know children. George Bolich is my direct descendant. Peter died  June 14, 1804 in Caernarvon, Berks County. He was 44 years old. Church records state that he was out of his mind.
According to his estate records his wife remarried a man named Peter Rufner.
The children of Peter and Catherine changed their last name to Boley before 1820.  In the 1810 Census we find a Catherine Boley. Their sons Valentine, Peter and Jacob moved to Trumball County, Ohio before the census of 1820. David and John followed their brothers to Ohio shortly after.
