A. M. Flowers died at his home in Guyandotte yesterday after an illness of but a few days of grip. His death caused considerable surprise throughout this section, as but few people even knew that he was ill. He was about sixty years of age and was prominently known in this section. He was a brother of Thaddeus Flowers, of this city. The funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at two o'clock and the burial will be at Highland cemetery near Guyandotte.

Frederick Flowers, 81, of Mount Union, died Friday after an illness of six months. He was a Civil War veteran, having been a member of company B, Fifth regiment of West Virginia Volunteers.
He is survived by ten children, twenty-three grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters.
The children are: Robert, Ambrose, Phillip, and William Flowers of Walnut Hills. John and Bird Flowers of Huntington; Fanny, Mary, Emma Ray and Anna, of Huntington.
Funeral services will be held at Mount Union at 11 o'clock Sunday morning. The Rev. Osie Pyles will conduct the services. Interment will be made in the family cemetery at Mount Union.

An aged veteran, George W. Flowers, answered "taps" Sunday, at his home 94 West Second street. He was 72 years old, and had been a resident of Huntington for many years. He was born in Virginia and fought through the Civil War.
A wife survives. The funeral arrangements have not been announced. He was a victim of heart trouble.
