Johnny Allen Dyer⁽¹⁾ was born on 7 Oct 1947. He died on 2 Aug 2002. JOHNNY ALLEN DYER, 54, of Ona, passed away Friday, August 2, 2002, in St. Mary’s Hospital. He was born October 7, 1947, in Huntington, the son of John M. Dyer and Mildred Petrie Dyer. He was founder and owner of Johnny’s Pizza. He was retired from American Car and Foundry (ACF). He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a graduate of Barboursville High School Class of ’65. He is survived by his loving and caring wife, Emma Lou Donahue Dyer of Ona; a daughter, Tara K. Dyer and her special friend, Denny Henderson, both of Ona; a son, John Allen "Bear" Dyer Jr. and his special friend, Kelly Meehling, both of Ona; a godson, Bil Neal and his wife, Amy Neal, of Barboursville; a god-granddaughter, Anne-Marie Neal; a sister, Patricia Dyer of McKinney, Texas; brothers-in-law and families, Bob and Mary Donahue, Jim and Shirley Donahue; Rex and Barbara Donahue, Jack and Jewel Donahue and Keith and Betsy Donahue; and special friends, Debra Pinkerman and Ray Sager. Johnny leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, friends and family. Funeral liturgy will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2002, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Msgr. Lawrence Luciana and Father Julian Marneni officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening. HENRY EARL--Sixty four years old, scale master at the city market, who died yesterday at his home 1935 Harveytown road, after an illness of heart disease, will be buried tomorrow afternoon in the Harveytown Cemetery following funeral services at 2 o'clock at the Harveytown United Brethren Church with Rev. Henry Mulliens and Rev. William Simpson officiating, Pallbearers will be Leslie Boothby, Elba Engles, Dee Arthur, Lou Thompson, Ben Pinkerman, and Ed Kilgore. Surviving are his widow MRS. ANNA B. EARL five sons GARLAND, SHELBY, LESLIE and WESLEY EARL of Huntington and Rev. JESSIE EARL of Wheeling; three daughters MRS. HESTER ADKINS, MRS. LOKA CHATTERTON, and MRS. ETHEL HAZELETT of Huntington; one brother ALFRED EARL, and two sisters MRS. SARAH ADKINS, and MRS. LIZA TAYLOR all of Huntington.

JOHN S. EARL, 81 of Pleasant Valley, died Monday at his home here. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, of which he was a member.
Mr. EARL was born March 5, 1837 in Boyd County, Ky., after the civil, settling in Wayne County, near Buffalo, where he resided four years before removing to his Pleasant Valley home in this county. He was a Union soldier during the four years of the civil war.
The widow ELLEN E EARL and the following children survive; A. H. EARL and HENRY EARL of Harveytown, JOSEPH EARL of 17-a Thirteenth Ave. Huntington; MRS. ELIZA TAYLOR and MRS. SARAH ADKINS, of Four Pole. He also leaves 53 grandchild and 33 great-grandchildren.
