Mrs. Clara Dillon of 1623 13th Ave., Huntington, W. Va., passed away Saturday evening, Aug 14, 1982, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Reger Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Larry Albright and the Rev. Donnie Taylor. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park. She was born in Cabell County, W. Va., a daughter of the late Stephen and Alice Morrison Donahoe. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles A. Dillon; a son; five sisters; and five brothers. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Maureen Bay, with whom she made her home; three grandchildren, Mrs. Diana Fry of Peru, Ind., Miss Patricia Dillon of San Mateo, Calif., and Joe Kirk, of Indianapolis, Ind., and two great-grandchildren, Leah Fry and Erika Kirk. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Reger funeral Home, Huntington.

DEATH CAME AFTER WEEKS OF SUFFERING

PRO. JOEL DONAHOE DIED AT HOME OF HIS FATHER NEAR BARBOURSVILLE.

Professor Joel Donahoe died Saturday morning about half past two o'clock at the home of his father, Squire W. P. Donahoe, one mile south of Barboursville. He has been suffering for years with consumption, and for the past three or four weeks his death has been momentarily expected.
Professor Donahoe was one of the best known educators in the county. For a time he was principal of the public schools of Barboursville, he was a county examiner for several terms, and was prominent in other ways with the teachers of this and other counties.
Professor Donahoe is survived by a wife and three children, all of whom are small, his father and mother, and one brother, Rev. S. A. Donahoe, of Ashland.
A strange fatality seems to have followed the Donahoe family of late years, no less than five members of the family having died, one death following close upon the order.

I'm also interested in the Donahue/Donahoo family. My gg-grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Donahue, was an older sister of Nancy Donahue. Mary Elizabeth Donahue m. Greenville Clay abt 1849 and they are listed in the 1850 Wayne Co. Census under #64 living with her parents - James H and Nancy Donahue.
Is there anyone out there who knows anything about the Donahues? James H. - who were his parents???
