Marriage of James F. Durett and Miss Maggie Dick
Married, June 29, 1898, at 4 p.m., by Rev. B. F. Caudiff, of Russell, Ky., at
the residence of the bride's parents, on Second street, in Milton, Miss Maggie,
the pretty and only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bal Dick, to Mr. James F.
Durrett, of Russell, Ky. The cememony was impressively performed by Mr.
Durrett's pastor, Rev. Caudiff. The bride was attired in white organdy
with cream lace trimmings, and wore white roses in her hair. The groom
wore the conventional black. The wedding being very private, only
intimate friends and relatives were present. At 5:45 the happy couple left
for a long visit to different points East, the birde's "going away"
costume being
blue novelty with white velvet trimmings. Many friends accompanied them
to the depot, and as the train moved away showers of rice were thrown after
the happy pair. Miss Maggie was well and favorably known in Milton, and
wishes for happiness were many by her numerout friends. The froom is well
known also, being a popular engineer on the C. & O. Their future home will
be in Huntington, and may they enjoy a long and happy life is the wish of
their many friends.
