Sanford, born Mar 1900, age 2/12, g-son of John W. Figgins. John W. and Frances are stated as having only one child, who also lives with them in 1900. Her name is listed as Maggie B. Figgins, single. This child appears to be Maggie's son, and Maggie is listed as single. My source for the census was not the actual microfilm, but a printed transcription. The original needs to be checked to verify the Sanford surname for John M.

All four of the people listed in the 1900 census in the household of John W. Figgins are buried on the same lot in the Milton Cemetery. Except John M.'s tombstone says Figgins and not Sanford.

There was also the family of William Sanford in Milton at this time. William had a son named John M. Sanford, who was about the same age as Maggie Figgins. Was this John M. Sanford the father of John M. Sanford/Figgins? Parents: Maggie B. Figgins.
