A SAD DEATH
MRS. J. M. HAWKINS PASSES AWAY LATE SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

One of the saddest deaths in the city for some time was that of Mrs. J. Marshall Hawkins, which occurred at the the residence on Fifteenth street last Saturday afternoon at five o'clock. For several weeks she had been a great sufferer, but bore her sufferings with great fortitude. The best medical skill from our own city and Cincinnati was employed, but the grim reaper could not be stayed, her Master called and she had to go.
Mrs. Hawkins was the daughter of Frederick D. and Francis E. Beuhring and she was born in this city November thirtieth,1868, being thirty one years of age when the death summons came. She was married to J. M. Hawkins December eleventh, 1893, and her husband and two bright little sons, one four years the other two months of age now survive her.
To them The Advertiser extends it sincere sympathy.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. B. F. Gosling at the Johnson Memorial church of which she was a consistant member, at three o'clock this afternoon. Burial at Spring Hill.
