William T. Snider⁽¹⁾ was born in 1843. He died on 1 Apr 1909 in Huntington, Cabell Co., WV. PIONEER CITIZEN - W. T. Snider, who for twenty years has been a prominent citizen of Huntington, closed his eyes on earthly scenes yesterday at 1:30 p. m. at his home, 1228 Fourth avenue.
Death was a result of paralysis, following complication the cause of which are uunknown.
Mr. Snider was a veteran of the civil war, having answered the first call for volunteers issued by Lincoln.
Five children survive: Charles, Frederick, James, and Walter Snider, of this city, and Mrs. Mattie Holmes, of Belpre, Ohio. Three brothers and three sisters also survive, who are as follows: John, Charles H. and Joseph O. Snider, all of this city, and Mrs. Mary E. Fuller, Mrs. Alice S. Wakefield, of the city, and Mrs. O. L. Kelley of Chesapeake.
The funeral will occur this afternoon at 2:30 at 515 Eight street, and will be conducted by Rev. Townsend, of the First M. E. Church.
Bailey Post G. A. R., will attend and accompany the remains to their last resting place, an order to that effect having been issued by Commander, J. L. Caldwell and G. W. Hutchinson.

Fleming O. Southworth Is Victim; Funeral Planned Tomorrow
Fleming O. (Sally) Southworth, 35, of 802 Tenth street, died at 1:15 o'clock yesterday morning of a heart attack. He had been ill since Thursday, and his condition became critical Saturday night.
Funeral services will be conducted tommorow at a time to be announced at the home of his grandmother, Mrs. O. A. Brown, 823 Ninth srteet. Pallbearers will be O. B. Burton, Clayton Gerlach, Guy Davis, Tufe Hodge, Frank Deardorff, Faye Rolph, Robert Logsdon and Urban Darlington.
Mr. Southworth was eidely known. A graduate of Huntington high school, he was a former employe of Hagen-Ratcliff & Co. Later he was a traveling salesman. He was a member of the Elks lodge.
He is survived by the widow, and one daughter, Betty; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Southworth; an uncle, Clarence Brown; and three aunts, Mrs. Clara Townley, Newport News, Va., Mrs. Constance Goodman, Washington, D. C., and Mrs. John Goodman, Rustburg, Va.
