WILLIAM CLENDENIN MILLER is a son of George Frederick Miller, who was born in Germany, and came to this country in 1821, landing at New Orleans, Louisiana. In the same year, G. F. Miller accompanied his parents, four brothers and two sisters to Guyandotte, the family making the entire journey on a keel boat. In this county, George F. Miller married. May Shelton; arid their son William C. was born in this county. In Barboursyule, in April, 1881, he married Eugenia Samuels, who was born in Cabell couüty, and they have one child a daughter named Mary, who was born in May, 1882. Lafayette and Frances (Lusher) Samuels are the parents of Mrs. Eugenia Miller. In the war between the States her father was a soldier of the Confederacy, serving under General Jenkins. Mr. Miller is a merchant, carrying a large and well selected stock of dry goods, groceries, hardware, queensware and notions His motto is quick sales and small profits, and all who give him a call are sure to go again. His location and postoffice address -is Barboursville, Cabell county, West Virginia.

1840 - 1911 He died on 22 Mar 1911 in Barboursville, Cabell Co., WV. William E. Mills, aged 70, a pioneer citizen of Barboursville,, died at his home at the ex-county seat yesterday morning after an illness extending over a long period and which was due to the infirmities incident to old age.
The deceased was a man of excellent traits and fine character and he was highly esteemed by everyone who knew him. He is survived by his wife and one brother, Oscar Mills of Barboursville. The deceased was a cousin of H. O. Thornburg of Guyandotte.
The funeral services will be conducted at the residence in Barboursville, Friday morning at 9:30 and the interment will be made in the Thornburg cemetery near Barboursville.

Mrs. Harriett Lelia Bowen, Native of Cabell County, Succumbe at Seventy-four.

Mrs. Harriett Lelia Bowen, aged seventy-four years, died at the home of her son-in-law, F. A. Weymouth, 1694 Sixth avenue, at 4:30 o'clock yesterday.
Mrs. Bowen was born in Greenbottom, in Cabell county. Her maiden name was Miser. She had been a resident of Huntington twenty-seven years. She was the widow of the late Cade Bowen, beside whom she will be laid to rest in Spring Hill cemetery Thursday afternoon. Funeral services will be conducted at the Weymouth residence on that day at 2:30 o'clock by Rev. Roy McCuskey, pastor of the Seventh Avenue M. E. church.
Mrs. Bowen leaves one daughter, Miss Stella Bowen, and two sons, P. E. Bowen of this city and W. F. Bowen, his daughter, Mrs. G. Ward Kingery and her little son, are here from Cleveland.

The name of this cemtery is not known, but it is located near the burial spot of Elisha McComas, out Midkiff Rd., and off the side of the railroad tracks. Tombstone broken from base and lying on the ground. Several others are buried here, but this was the only stone found with an inscription.
