Was For Twenty Years Foreman At Local Shops-Held City Position Seven Years

J. E. Hite, 68, died last night at seven o'clock as the result of an attack of pneumonia, at the home of his daughter Mrs. A. W. Craig, 933 Twenty-eight street. He was for twenty years a labor foreman at the American Car & Foundry Company here and for seven years inspector of paving in Huntington.
Mr. Hite was a member of the United Brethren church, of the I.O.O.F., Knight of the Golden Eagle and Knights of Pythias. The following children are left: Sam E. Hite, of Muncie, Ind., Henry Hite, 1028-28th street; Mrs. Mary Craig, 933-28th street; James L. Hite, 937-28th street; John L. Hite, 937-28th street; Mrs. Dollie Gill same address; Grover C. Hite, Pt. Pleasant; Draper E. Hite, 916-28th street. There are 38 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements will be made today.
