| Richard Burgin was born in Flaunden on 11th November 1833, to Thomas and Maria Burgin. He was baptised at the old Flaunden Church on 25th January 1834. | Harriet Heriatge was born in Great Kimble, Bucks in 1836, to William and Mary Heritage. She was baptised at Great Kimble Church on 1st May 1836. |
Richard and Harriet married at Bovingdon Church on 20th August 1854.

Richard was a Carpenter all his life, taking on his father's trade. He lived for most of his married life in Church Lane, raising his children in a small cottage there. He later moved to Pudds Cross.

Richard died in 1902, aged 68 years. He was buried on 19th February
1902 at Bovingdon Church.
Harriet died 7th July 1913, aged 77 years. She was living with her daughter Caroline
Norton in Edmonton, London at the time, at 165 Angel Road. It is currently unknown where
she is buried.
