Claremore Rodeo Parade - June 1950

Under Construction

The annual Will Rogers Roundup Club Rodeo Parade was held on the afternoon of the first evening performance of the Rodeo.  It was a kick-off for the big event, which was the rodeo.  It always started around the middle of June.  The rodeo usually played for 3 or 4 evenings.

The pictures on this page feature Miss Laura Ann Higdon riding her horse, "Starlight" in the parade of June 1950.  Laura Ann was 13 years of age and an avid Rodeo fan at the time.  All photos were taken by her father, N. A. Higdon of Claremore and Tulsa.  Be sure and click each picture for the enlarged view.
