The Descendants of William Blinco of Iver in the County of Buckinghamshire
This is a Genealogy website created by Martin James Taylor. My aim is to illustrate the Blinco/Blinko/Blincoe families who have lived in and around Stoke Hundred in South Buckinghamshire from c. 1660 to the present day. If you are interested please get in touch. If your interest is in the Blinko family of Bicester and North Buckinghamshire follow the link below to Roger Blinko's site. To date there is no documentary evidence that these two families are linked but DNA evidence suggests that both families are descended from the Blencowe's of Marston St Lawrence in Northamptonshire and through them from Adam de Blencowe, a landowner at Blencowe in Cumbria during the 14th century.
For more on the wider world of Blencowe's, Blincow's and every other spelling of the name you could possibly imagine (and some that you couldn't) visit the website of the Blencowe Families Association. I'd strongly recommend their superb publication 'The Blencowe Families' by J W Blencowe although this is now sadly out of print.
This site is the product of many years research carried out largely by myself. I am grateful however to some other researchers who have provided me with information on their own branches of the tree.
Please contact me if you have any comments, queries or corrections.
