| Home Surname List Name Index Sources Email Us | The Descendants of William Blinco of Iver in the County of Buckinghamshire DNA evidence suggests that the Blinco's are descended from the Blencowes of Marston St Lawrence in Northamptonshire and through them from Adam de Blencowe, a landowner at Blencowe in Cumbria during the 14th century. To date though no written evidence has been found of this connection. For more on the wider world of Blencowes, Blincows and every other spelling of the name you could possibly imagine (and some that you couldn't) visit the website of the Blencowe Families Association. I'd strongly recommend their superb publication 'The Blencowe Families' by J W Blencowe although this is now sadly out of print.
