Family History:
George Willard took the Oath of Allegiance in Scituate, MA on February 1, 1638. He was heavily fined on May 3, 1641, for "contemptuous words" of "they were fools and knaves that paid the rate [since] churches here in [Massachusetts] Bay {Colony] did wrong in not baptizing their children…[and] the Assistants (judges) did not take the oath of Supremacy before entering upon their places." In August 1643 George was on the list of men "able to bear arms".
