RUSSELL COUNTY WILLS, Book 1, Page 495

I John Fox of the county of Russell State of Kentucky do hereby make and enclaim this my last will and testament in manner and from folowing that is to say. First I desire that so much of my personal property as will pay my Just debts and Funeral expences and conditionally after my death be sold and payment made. Secondly after the payment of my debts and funeral expences I give to my beloved wife Nancy Fox my lands and benefits of earning [this last may have been another phrase] from my lands and all my off Property of all kinds and house [not legible] kitchen and Furniture and all my farming utinsils of all kinds during her life in widowhood. Thirdly I give to my daughter Irenia Fox out of the above mentioned estate Seventy five dollars. Fourthly I want my wife Nancy Fox to take care of Francis Marion Fox till his is 21 years of age and then give him horse [there some information was crossed out] Bridle and with [or worth] 50 dollars. Fifthly I want my wife Nancy Fox to enjoy estate that I have left her freely and all that remains at her death, lands personal property farming tools house and kitchen furniture I want sold the benifits ariseing from them to be equally divided amonst my children, to wit; Abraham Fox Nancy Hines, Sally Dunigan, Fanny Davis, Bathiny McBath, Dicy Brown, Presley B. Fox, Elisa Popplewll on her children, Minervy Weddle, John Fox jr Fountain Fox, Irenia fox [the last two names are in smaller handwriting and what appears to be different handwriting as though inserted later] Elmire Hale and Francis Marian Fox.

I witness hereof I do hereby set my hand and affix my seal this 22 of March in the year 1852
