East from McKinney, Texas on US Hwy 380 for 14 miles to Farmersville, Texas.
Remain on Hwy 380 headed East for about 8 miles, then turn South on State Hwy
36 for about 3 miles until crossing old railroad track grade, then turn West
on paved road for about 1/2 mile. Cemetery on the South side of the road.
Historical Marker - Clinton Cemetery
According to local legend, this graveyard originated when an unknown cowboy
was buried near this site with the permission of landowner James Massay, who
designated the spot as a community cemetery. Massay also gave the land for a
railroad right-of-way along which the town of Clinton was built. The earliest
marked grave in the cemetery is that of R. J. McAdams (1836-1859), wife of J.
E. McAdams. The village was named Massayville in 1899, but was later renamed
Clinton for Charles S. Clinton, an official of the Cotton Belt Railway. More
than 500 graves in this cemetery and a few scattered homes in the vicinity were
all that remained of the Clinton Community in 1998. The cemetery is a record
of the pioneers of Hunt County. (1998)
Clinton Cemetery established 1860.

INTERMENT SURNAMES WITH THE LETTER "B"
Records extracted by Richard Wilkinson Typing by Richard Wilkinson June 2000
Submitted By: Richard Wilkinson <jrrrr@zianet.com> June 2000, Updated
Aug 2000
The following cemetery records were obtained from the City of Carlsbad, Eddy County, New Mexico. The City of Carlsbad nor any of it's employees are responsibility for the accuracy of this data. However, every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of this information. If you require further information on any person listed below please contact one of the people listed on the Eddy County Web Page We will make every effort to get you further information and visit the burial site, all as time permits. The Carlsbad Municipal Cemetery is located within the Corporate City Limits of the City of Carlsbad. The main entrance is located off Boyd Drive with an alternate entrance located off Juarez Street. The City of Carlsbad has been keeping the records of internment since about the 1940's. Before then, the local funeral homes maintained all of their own records. There was a fire at one of the funeral homes in the 1940's and many records were lost. Therefore, many of the burial sites are not going to be recorded here. Currently all of these city records are being maintained on 3X5 index cards and a hand search is required. Therefore, this information is being hand copied. The City of Carlsbad maintaines three cards per lot, 1)Interment, 2)Lot Owner and 3) Maintance record.
The information below is only the Interment records. It has been found that
there are several cards in this file in which a person has purchased a lot but
has not died. It is difficult to determine that the person is not deceased,
from these records, unless a visit is made to the lot itself. I have attempted
to identify these types of records in an effort to eliminate the record from
this list.
Visit often, I am adding new information as quickly as I can.
