        7.  Ann Lewis4 Bryan (William Madison3, Thomas L.2, William1) was born March 08, 1849, and died February 1921 in GA.  She married Richard Shanks McKinney October 22, 1872 in Callaway County, MO, son of William McKinney and Mrs. McKinney.  He was born March 31, 1845 in Callaway County, MO, and died January 30, 1930 in Higginsville, Callaway County, MO.

        10.  Louisa Luvisa4 Bryan (William Madison3, Thomas L.2, William1) was born August 23, 1856, and died July 11, 1918 in St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL (?).  She married Charles Kee.   

 

Notes for Charlie Kee:

There is not much information about Charlie Kee.  I belive that the spelling of Kee has also been changed.  After his daughter Anna Belle died, Raymond Marion Smith confessed to his children that Charlie was a chinaman, something that was at the time an embarassment to the family.  It was said that he ran a Laundry called Kee's Laundry in either Mexico or Columbia, MO.  Anna Belle died with any information that she might have had.

        12.  Sallie Lewis4 Bryan (William Madison3, Thomas L.2, William1) was born July 15, 1860, and died December 28, 1913 in the State hospital at Fulton, MO.  She married Nathanial Craig Ficklin December 21, 1875, son of Thomas Ficklen and America Craig.  He was born January 29, 1852.

       

Children of Sallie Bryan and Nathanial Ficklin are:

        28              ii.               Thomas Ficklin.

        29             iii.               Julia America Ficklin.  She married Kelly.

        21.  Anna Belle5 Keys (Louisa Luvisa4 Bryan, William Madison3, Thomas L.2, William1) was born November 03, 1885 in Mexico,  MO, and died September 30, 1965 in East Alton, IL.  She married Raymond Marion Smith November 04, 1905 in Christian Church of Springfield, IL, son of Levi Smith and Emaline Patterson.  He was born November 16, 1881 in Harristown Township, Macon Co, IL, and died October 11, 1968 in Tyson-Manor Nursing Home, Montgomery, Al.

 

Notes for Anna Belle Keys and Raymond Marion Smith

She was a member of the American Red Cross and served as a board member. She also taught the Gleaners Class of the First Methodist Church for 27 years.

Anna Belle told a newspaper that she didnt have any real hobbies, but Raymond said that her hobby is her kindness and her thoughtfulness.  Said she sent greeting cards to everyone.

 

He was an employee of the Western Cartage Company since 1915.

He was a forman at Olin Mathieson Chemical Corp. for 35 years before his retirement in 1949.

He also served as a member kof the East Alton Board of Education for a period of 20 years.  He was president of the PTA organization and was a Trustee for the Villiage of East Alton for three terms.  He was a lifetime member of the Management Club of Olin Mathieson Corp., and a charter member of the Westerner Club, and originated the Western Gardens during World War II.  Gardening was his hobby.  He died from a stroke caused by stress of an operation for kidney stones.  He died after 6 weeks in a coma in a nursing home in Alabama.

One newspaper article about their marriage states that they were one of the most charming and popular couples in East Alton.  Both were young at heart and spirit and were noted for their humor and tireless activities. 

 

Both were members of the Westerner Club and the Methodist Church of East Alton where they taught Sunday School.
Raymond and Anna Belle had 4 infant sons that died early in their marriage.

        32              ii.               Harvey Smith.   He married (1) Mary Hogan.  He married (2) Nancy Dripcheck.  He married (3) Evelyn.

 

 

 

        22.  Charles5 Keys (Louisa Luvisa4 Bryan, William Madison3, Thomas L.2, William1) was born May 29, 1887.  He married Mathilda Latsch (Aunt Tillie), daughter of Lizzy. 

 

Children of Charles Keys and Mathilda Tillie) are:

        33               i.               Helen6 Keys.  She married Gregory Thomas (Tom) Wedrell.

        34              ii.               Marguerite Keys.  She married Raymond (Bud) Butman 1938; died 1993.

 

 

        26.  Cora5 Bryan (William Noah4, William Madison3, Thomas L.2, William1)  She married Frank Renetzky
