Ivo L. York, 76, Lingo, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 1996 at Samaritan Memorial Hospital, Macon.
Mrs. York was born Feb. 6, 1919, at Decatur County, Iowa, daughter of Oscar and Edith (Helton) Reed. She and Eldon York were married Oct. 13, 1941, at Bethany. They had lived in Lingo since 1955.
She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, northwest of New Cambria, and the Cambria Rebekah Lodge #723, New Cambria.
Mrs. York is survived by her husband, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, J. O. and Janice York, Boiling Springs, Pa.; two grandchildren, Joseph Jr. and Ashley and a sister and brother-in-law, Jonda and Bill Conkel, Burlington, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Rex and Max and two sisters, Veta and Faye.
Services were 2 p.m. today, Monday, Jan. 15, 1996, at the church, with the Rev. Sheila Swafford officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery, Bucklin. Arrangements were by Gilleland & McElwain Funeral Home, New Cambria. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
