Funeral services for Ross Yetter, 66, of Carthage were held Wednesday afternoon in Banks and Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe with the Rev. Floyd Saxton and the Rev. James Fox officiating. Burial was in the LaHarpe cemetery.
Mr. Yetter died in Memorial Hospital in Carthage, at 4 p.m., Sunday, where he had been a patient two days and in failing health the past several months.
Mr. Yetter was born Nov 3, 1900 at Fountain Green, the son of Morris and Estella Hobart Yetter. He married Pauline Loop June 9, 1928, at Rock Island. He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Fountain Green Presbyterian church.
Surviving are his widow; a son, Wayne Yetter of LaHarpe; a granddaughter; a nephew, Jim Spees, who was reared in the Yetter home; six brothers and sisters; and a number of nieces and nephews. Two brothers died previously.
