C. D. Yetter was fatally injured Nov. 22 by the accidental discharge of his rifle as he was hunting at his ???d lots northwest of the city.  He crawled under a wire fence, dragging his rifle after him, when it was discharged and the load entered his abdomen.  With great courage he ???? his horse into the road, closed the gate, climbed into the buggy and drove home.  Medical aid was summoned and a surgeon from Keokuk performed an operation, but it was not possible to save him and he passed away two days later.  In 1892 he was married to Mary Flynn, four children coming to them, Violet, Edward, Bernard and Mildred.  ???ere were surviving also his father, Wm. Yetter, brothers, William and Eugene and his sisters, Hortense Dye, Mary Boston, Susan Boston, and Sarah Dunsworth.
