Services Today For Joe Wright
Services for Joseph John Wright, 83, of 324 East Gracia Street, Marceline, were held at 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church, Marceline, the Rev. Emery Adams officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Mr. Wright died Saturday.
Joseph John, son of John J. and Aleta Vantine Wright, was born July 6, 1893 in Bucklin.
He was married to Hallie Roberta Kintner on Feb. 27, 1918. They were the parents of nine children.
Mr. Wright is survived by his widow of the home; four sons, Wesley Wayne and Harvey Dale of Carlsbad, Calif.; Kenneth L. of Ft. Madison, Iowa; Ronald Dean of Kansas City; a daughter, Rose Marie Cochran, Iola, Kan.; 19 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; four sisters, three sons, Harold, Wilbur and George Leroy and a daughter, Geneva Roberts.
Mr. Wright was a member of the Marceline First Baptist Church and as a retired farmer.
