Freddie Dale Wright, 57, Marceline, died Thursday evening at Pershing Hospital, Brookfield.
He was born Dec. 16, 1933, in Linn County, near Bucklin, son of Warner Hira and Tressa Maud (Apel) Wright.
Surviving are two sons, Mitchell D. and Cedric D. Wright, both of Milan; his mother, of Bucklin; a brother, Roy E. Wright, Bucklin; two sisters, Dena Peterson, Bucklin, and Doris James, New Cambria, and several nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts.
He was preceded in death by his father, in 1980.
A lifelong Linn County resident, Mr. Wright was baptized at and a past deacon of the Bucklin Christian Church. He worked at Cimarron Lumber Company, Marceline.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Louis V. Scudiero and Sons Funeral Home, Bucklin, with the Rev. David Todd officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery, Bucklin. Visitation starts at 9 a.m. and the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
