Of Macomb DiesFuneral services for Morris A. White of Macomb, who died Thursday were held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the Dodsworth-Piper funeral home. Interment was in Holland cemetery.
Mr. White, a resident of St. Mary's community practically all of the 86 years of his life, had resided in Macomb for the past nine years. He had been a patient at the St. Francis hospital for 13 months for treatment following a stroke, and died at the hospital at 12:30 p. m. He would have been 87 years old June 27.
Deceased, the son of James and Permelia White, was born June 27, 1858 in Hire township and later moved to St. Mary's, where he spent his youth and young manhood as an extensive farmer and stock buyer, until the last few years, when failing health rendered him inactive and he retired and moved to Macomb.
He was married in 1880 to Perlia Ewing who died in 1897. To this union were born the following children: Bert White of Tennessee, Fred White of Macomb, Mrs. Susie Swan of Port Angeles, Wash. Two sons died in infancy. Also surviving are the following grandchildren: Marie Carle and Leona Bivens of Carthage, Olive Earls of Basco, Pfc. Leonard White in Germany, Donald White of Minnesota, Floyd White of Washington, D. C., Morris Swan of Port Angeles, Wash.
In 1898 he was married to Mary Falder, who survives with one daughter, Mrs. Grace Millsom of Chattanooga, Tenn., and a granddaughter, Mariana Millsom. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Jane Ewing of Lawrence, Kas., Mrs. Kathern Crump of Plymouth. Four sisters are deceased.
Those attending the funeral from this vicinity were: Mrs. Laura Walker and Mrs. Nellie Botts of this city, Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Luttrel of Burnside, Wendell Walker and family of East Carthage, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Walker and Noble Cox of southeast Carthage.
