CARTHAGE, Ill. -- Mrs. Lula Roenea White, 99, a resident of the Hancock County Nursing Home, died at 1:30 a.m. Monday (March 25, 1991) in the home.
Born July 24, 1891, in Hancock County, Mrs. White was a daughter of Charles W. and Mary Roenea Yetter Boston. She joined the Carthage Baptist Church in 1906 and was its oldest member and a former Sunday school teacher. Mrs. White graduated from Carthage High School.
On May 18, 1910, she married Don White. He died in 1947.
Survivors include four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Carthage Baptist Church by the Rev. James A. Fox. Burial will be in Moss Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be held after 2 p.m. today with family meeting friends from 7 to 9 tonight in the Lamporte Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Carthage Baptist Church.
