Leonard White

LOMAX, Ill. -- Leonard L. White, 86, of Lomax, owner and operator of a welding and lawn mower shop, died Friday (May 26, 1995) in his home.

Born Aug. 10, 1908, in Galesburg, he was a son of Burt and Blanche Kimbrough White.  He married Wilma Juanita Luder on June 30, 1935, in Carthage.  She survives.

Mr. White lived in the Lomax area for 40 years.  He had served in the Army and was a member of the D.A.V. and Carthage V.F.W. Post 5117.

Also surviving are a sister Leona Bivens of Meadville, Pa., and nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by two sisters, Olive Earls and Marie Carle.

Graveside services with military rites will be conducted at 2 this afternoon in South Basco Cemetery by the Rev. Jim Luder and the Carthage V.F.W. Post.

A memorial fund has been established.
