Funeral services for Mrs. Blanche Vera White, 93, of Carthage were held Thursday at Neiser Funeral Home in Carthage with Rev. Francis Guither officiating. Burial was in South Basco Cemetery.
Mrs. White died Tues., Nov. 4 at Carthage Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 8, 1887 in Bentley, the daughter of Thomas and Amelia Cox Kimbrough. She married Bert D. White. He preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Methodist Church in Basco.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Olive Earls and Mrs. Leona Bivens, both of Carthage and Mrs. Marie Carle of Olive, Calif., one son, Leonard of Lomax; eight grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Flossie Kleckner of Carthage.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
A memorial to the Hancock County Blood Bank has been established.
Note: Blanche was married twice -- name of first husband is unknown (for now).
