Column 5Charles Vantine Funeral Thursday
Funeral services for Charles H. Vantine, 82, of Macon, who died at 11:50 p.m. yesterday at the Kirksville Osteopathic Hospital, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Hutton Funeral Home here. Burial will be in the New Cambria Cemetery.
Mr. Vantine, who was a retired Burlington Railroad employee, was born March 31, 1888 in Macon County.
He is survived by: His wife, Mrs. Vera Vantine of Macon; four daughters, Mrs. Fay Sagyster of Hannibal, Mrs. Mae Smith of Linneus, Mrs. Anna Mount of Brookfield and Mrs. Ruby Griffith of Linneus; two sons, Clifford (Pat) Vantine of Macon and Charles (Mike) Vantine of Laclede; and several grandchildren.
The body will lie in state at the funeral home.

Charley Vantine, 83, Macon, died at 11:50 p.m. Monday in Kirksville Osteopathic Hospital. Mr. Vantine was a retired Burlington Railroad employee and had worked out of New Cambria.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow in Hutton Funeral Home, Macon. Burial will be in the New Cambria Cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, Vera, of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Fay Sagyster, Hannibal, Mrs. Mae Smith, Linneus, Mrs. Virgil Mount, Brookfield, and Mrs. Ruby Griffith, Linneus; two sons, Clifford (Pat) Vantine, Macon, and Charles (Mike) Vantine, Laclede; 12 grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
