(Earlier News)

RESIDENTS of this vicinity were shocked and grieved to learn early last Wednesday morning that Donald Thompson, a well known young farmer living a few miles west of Webster had passed away shortly before midnight on Tuesday at Memorial hospital in Carthage after having been admitted only a few hours earlier.

Death presumably was due to a stroke caused by high blood pressure.

He had been found unconscious in the barn by his wife, who went to look for him when he failed to return to the house after doing the evening chores.

Having apparently been in good health until stricken with the fatal seizure made his death all the more shocking.

Left to mourn his untimely passing at the early age of 42 are his wife, the former Marcella Breidbarth; four children, Donna, Nancy, Martha and Jeffrey all at home; also one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Wood, who lives on an adjoining farm; two nieces and one nephew; an uncle, Harley Parker of the Joetta neighborhood; two aunts, Mrs. Ernest Robinson of near Carthage and Mrs. Gay Wright of near LaHarpe; as well as a number of cousins to all of whom the deepest sympathy is extended.
