Mildred Stanek

Mildred A. Stanek, 90, of 516 2nd St., Colona, died Monday, June 18, 2001, at Illini Restorative Care Center, Silvis.

Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Full Gospel Church of God, East Moline.  Burial is in Dayton Cemetery, Colona.

Visitation is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Family Funeral

Services, Colona.  A memorial fund will be established.

She was born Aug. 11, 1910, in Davenport, the daughter of Samuel and Nellie Enderton Priest.  She married Walter Wood in 1929 in Davenport.  He died in 1936.  She married Edwin J. Stanek Aug. 6, 1937, in Davenport.  He died in 1997.

She was a housewife.  She was a member of Full Gospel Church of God, East Moline, where she was secretary and treasurer of Sunday school.  She enjoyed traveling and visiting people in hospitals and nursing homes.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene Batten, Bettendorf, Jackie and Loy Wood, Colona, and Jeannie and David Rounds, Colona; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Sandi Stanek, Colona; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; four great- great-grandchildren; and sisters, Dorothy Bracelin, Des Moines, and Florence Copp, Davenport.
