MEMPHIS, Mo. -- Maurice Ronald Snyder, 80, died at Keokuk Area Hospital - East Wednesday.
He was born Feb. 4, 1898 in Scotland County, Mo., the son of Raymond Pearl and Lola Crandall Snyder.
On April 6, 1921, he married Bessie Thurber who died Sept. 19, 1950. On Dec. 19, 1955, he married Julia Banthen in Salem, Ark. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Roger of Keokuk, Roderick of Hamilton, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, four brothers, Wayne of Kansas City, Mo., Myrl of Kirksville, Fay of Los Almos, Colo., Fred of Baring, Mo., two sisters, Mrs. Irene Reynolds of Los Almos, and Iona Limeman of Quincy, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
He was a member of the Methodist church in Granger, Mo.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Gerth-Baskett Funeral Chapel in Memphis with the Rev. Neil Duback officiating.
Burial will be in the Memphis Cemetery.
