Column 2March 21. -- A few days ago a sad case of death reached our quiet neighborhood. Mrs. Ellen Smith, the young wife of Jesse E. Smith, who was married one year ago last February, being paralyzed at that time and remaining so until death. On the 4th instant her dead body and that of a sweet little infant in the same casket was born into the church, where appropriate services were held by the writer, after which they were laid away in the little cemetery near by to await the resurrection of the just. Never in our experience have we seen so sad a case. We were with her in her sufferings and death. May God deal gently with the young husband and other mourning friends. Country Jake.
