Dorothy Bell Smith of Marceline, Mo. died Dec. 22 1984 at Saint-Francis Hospital in Marceline at the age of 57. She was born Nov. 7, 1927 in Macon county, Mo. near New Cambria, the daughter of Fred A. and Katherine (Passig) Still. A lifelong resident of Linn and Macon counties, she had worked as a nurses aide at Chastains of Marceline. On July 15, 1953, she married Marion Smith in Keytesville, Mo. She is survived by her husband; her mother Katherine Still of Marceline and three sons, Ronald Dean Pope and William G. Smith of Marceline, and Willard Darrel Smith of Camp Darby, Italy. She also leaves four brothers, Roy Still of Marceline, Ray Still of Salisbury, Mo., Robert Still of Green City, Mo. and Raymond Still of Dalton, Mo. Others surviving include seven sisters, Floy Stanfield of Moberly, Mo., Margaret Stanfield of Keytesville, Shirley Hornsby of Excelsior Springs, Roberta Ross of Marceline, Neva Allen of Brookfield, Mo., Lola Skinner and Judy West of Marceline and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, one brother Charles Kenneth Still, and a sister Rosemary Still. Funeral services conducted by the Rev. Everett Bradshaw and were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the McLaughlin-Scudiero Funeral Home in Marceline, burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Pallbearers were Richard Shannon, Larry Stanfield, Terry Fisher, Eugene Hornsby, Phillip Skinner and Delmar Ross. Honorary pallbearers were Darren Allen, Sonny Fiala and Owen Burris.
