Ronald Lee Shutwell, 57, of Quincy, formerly of LaHarpe, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2006, at his residence. He was born May 25, 1949, in LaHarpe, the son of Vernon and Virginia Alton Shutwell.
He is survived by his mother, Virginia, of LaHarpe; one brother, Jerry (Peggy) Shutwell of Biggsville; two sisters, Sharon (Richard) White of Tucson, Ariz., and Mary Beth Shutwell of Las Vegas, Nev.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Graveside services were Tuesday, Aug. 8, at the LaHarpe Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Goettsche officiating. Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe was in charge of arrangements. A memorial fund has been established for the LaHarpe Union Church.
