Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie V. Shipman, 49, Plymouth, will be held at 2 p.m., Friday in the Kilgore-Palmer Memorial Home, Carthage. Burial will be in the McKay Cemetery near Burnside.
Friends are invited to call from noon Thursday, and Friday until the time of the service.
She died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 1969, in Memorial Hospital, Carthage.
Mrs. Shipman was born June 6, 1920, in Hancock County, a daughter of George and Sarah Welchel Carle. She married Zenes Shipman April 19, 1963, in Carthage. She was a member of the Oak Grove Christian Church, the auxiliaries of the Carthage Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Fort Madison Moose lodge and the Plymouth American Legion.
Survivors are her husband; her father; two daughters, Mrs. Clyde (Velda) Dickerson, Jr., and Mrs. Jesse (Pat) Rawson, both of Carthage; two sons, Charles Londrie, Port Isabel, Texas, and Victor Londrie, Carthage; one step-daughter, Mrs. William (Beulah) Lane, Canton; two step-sons, Ronald K. Shipman, Dallas City, and Wayne L. Shipman, Carthage; one sister, Mrs. William (Velma) Welch, Tennessee; one brother, Gerald Carle, Moline; and 23 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Note: Nellie's husbands were Harlan Londrie, Victor Audrey Londrie, and Zenes Shipman.
