Funeral services for Wendell R. Sherman, 68, Warsaw, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Lamporte Funeral Home in Warsaw. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton. Memorials may be given to the Cancer Fund in his memory. Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon with family visitation from 7 to 9 p.m.
Mr. Sherman died Tuesday morning, July 29, 1975, in St. Mary Hospital in Quincy.
He was born Jan. 23, 1907, near LaHarpe, a son of William J. and Erma Ethel Tilton Sherman. He married Wilma Stidum April 20, 1934, in Carthage. She died in 1961.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Gene (Barbara) Fields of Stanton, Calif.; a son, Denis of Hamilton; two sisters, Mrs. Vaneatta Nolan of Warsaw and Mrs. Margy Dean of Carthage; and four grandchildren.
