HAMILTON, Ill. -- Herold Schilson, 90, of Hamilton, a Hancock County farmer, died at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday (Nov. 2, 1988) in the Montrose (Iowa) Health Care Center.
Mr. Schilson was born Sept. 11, 1898, in Hamilton, a son of John H. and Anna Herold Schilson. He married Alma Gibson who died in 1979.
Mr. Schilson was baptized in the former German Evangelical Church of Hamilton.
Survivors include a brother, Elton V. of Moores Hill, Ind.; four sisters, Villette Summers, Lorell Mekenson and Delores Piggott, all of Hamilton, and Joy Robertson of Keokuk, Iowa; and a grandson, David Schilson of Trussville, Ala. He also was preceded in death by a son.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Lamporte Funeral Home in Hamilton by the Rev. Dwain N. DePew. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be in the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday, with family meeting friends from 7 to 9.
Memorials may be made to the Hamilton Senior Citizens organization.
