Robert Arthur Ruhs, 70, of Hamilton died Wednesday, March 29, 2006, in his home.
He was born Feb. 10, 1936, in Keokuk, Iowa, a son of Arthur and Hulda Beeler Ruhs. On Oct. 26, 1958, he married Beverly Ann Yetter at the Hamilton Christian Church.
Robert is survived by his wife, Beverly of Hamilton; one son, Greg (Joan) of Hamilton; two grandchildren, Nick and Danielle Ruhs of Hamilton; one sister, Kathleen Shell of Escondido, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
He attended school in Hamilton, graduating in 1955. He then entered the U.S. Army and served from 1956 until 1958. He owned Ruhs Plumbing and Heating in Hamilton since 1972.
Graveside services were held Friday, March 31, at Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton with military rites. Printy Funeral Home in Carthage is in charge of arrangements.
A memorial fund has been established.
