Friends and relatives here were shocked and grieved to learn last Saturday that Mrs. Al Roberts of Dallas City had passed away quite suddenly during the previous night following a heart attack.  She had been suffering from heart trouble for some time but had been as well as usual the last few weeks and able to attend to her household duties to the last.  Mrs. Roberts, whose maiden name was Ruth Latherow, was born and raised in this community the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Latherow.  After her marriage to Mr. Roberts some 30 years ago she has lived in various places, Dallas having been their home for quite a number of years.  In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, June and Julia of Chicago, three sons, James in military service in the Pacific, Eldon, also in service and stationed in Missouri, and Glen at home.  There is also one brother E. S. Latherow of this community as well as a host of cousins to all of whom we extend sympathy.  Funeral services were held in Dallas Monday afternoon and attended by quite a number of relatives from this neighborhood.
