Obituary.

Susan Savilla, fourth child of George and Susan Ruddell, was born near Tennessee, Illinois, Jan. 12, 1887, died at Roseville, Ill., Oct. 8, 1915, aged 28 years, 8 months and 26 days.

In the spring of 1902 she moved with her parents to a farm near Carthage, where she met John Riggens, to whom she was married Feb. 27, l908.  To this union four children were born, Minor, Leslie, Susan Jane, John Arol and an infant daughter.  Their daughter, Susan died at the age of three months.  Beside her husband and three children, she leaves her mother, Mrs. George Ruddell, five sisters, Mrs. Isadeen Shores, Mrs. Clio Morgan, of Tennessee, Ill., Mrs. Wm. Jackson, of Avon, Ill., Mrs. Earnie Smith of Carthage and Nellie at home; two brothers, Harrison, of Greentop, Mo., and Leslie at home.

Mrs. Riggens was a loving wife, a kind and gentle little mother.  She numbered her friends by her acquaintances, to know her was to love her.  Her sudden death comes as a shock to all the relatives and friends.  May the Heavenly Father comfort them in their sorrow.

The funeral was held at Oak Grove church Sunday, Oct. 10, Rev. Mr. Foley officiating.  Burial at Oak Grove cemetery.
