OAK GROVE.

The angel of death has again passed over our community and taken one of our loved ones, a mother and wife, leaving a vacancy in the hearts of husband and children that cannot be filled.  Sadie Ellen Jenkins was born Sept. 22d, 1876, and passed out of this life into the beautiful land beyond, being at the time of her death, Feb. 26, 1911, 34 years, 6 months and 4 days old.  She was united in marriage to Homer Riggens Nov. 27, 1902.  To this union were born three children, two of whom survive, one dying in infancy.  Besides the husband and children she leaves her aged parents Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jenkins, three brothers and three sisters, two brothers and one sister having preceded her to the better land.  The motherless children have a good father and will be well cared for, but as the song says "There is no one like a mother to me."  Sympathizing friends and neighbors, with cheering words of comfort may lighten their burden, but their hearts will ever be longing for the tender love that no one but a mother can give; but God's will is our way, and it is but a short time till we meet to part nevermore.  Funeral services were conducted at the Middle Creek church Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 11 o'clock, by Elder Frazee.  Interment at Harmony cemetery.
