Funeral services for Roy C. Rich, 73, LaHarpe, were held at 11 a.m. April 14 in the Banks and Beal Funeral Home in LaHarpe with the Rev. William Best officiating. Burial was in the LaHarpe Cemetery.
Mr. Rich died Saturday night, April 11, 1970, in the McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
He was born March 4, 1897, near Memphis, Mo., a son of William E. and Mary Crabill Rich. He married Alma Yetter Jan. 29, 1919, in Keokuk, Iowa. He had held the offices of assessor, township supervisor and precinct committeeman, was a member of the LaHarpe Masonic Lodge and had farmed in the LaHarpe and Fountain Green areas.
Surviving with his wife are a daughter, Mrs. Lloyd (Margie) Zimmerman of Carthage; two sons, James E. Rich and Clifford E. Rich, LaHarpe; three brothers, Lloyd of Kankakee, Wayne of Centralia and Ward of Viola; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Maynard of Carthage, Mrs. Reva Malm of Crown Point, Ind., and Mrs. Hollis Johnson of Indio, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
