DEATH OF W. N.
RENO OCCURRED
LAST SATURDAY

Last Rites Held Here
On Monday

W. N. Reno died at the Masonic Home in Sullivan, Illinois, Saturday morning, June 30, 1934, at about 2:00 o'clock, suddenly, from a heart attack.

Mr. Reno was the son of J. B. and Sarah (Bates) Reno and was born in Schuyler county, Illinois, March 8, 1854.  He always lived in Illinois, coming to Hancock county when a young man.

In 1876 he was married to Lenora Wilson Booz, who died July 21, 1926.  To this union were born Leslie, who died at the age of 14 years; Daisy Pearl, wife of R. C. Cutler; Emma Mable Lane, who died in February, 1928; Joe Reno of this city and Elizabeth.  There survive also five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two brothers, Alvin Reno of California, and Van Reno, of Oklahoma, and four sisters, Mrs. Carlton Byrd, who lives on General Pershing's old home farm at LaClede, Mo., Mrs. Loretta Welch, of LaClede; Mrs. Myrtle Hyett, of Freeman, Mo., and Mrs. Effie Welch, of Kansas City, beside a large number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Reno was a devout member of the Christian church, and was a man well versed in the Bible.  He was devoted to the Masonic fraternity and found great happiness in his associates at the home at Sullivan, writing happily of his situation.  He was a good father and husband, a good neighbor and a good citizen and held the respect of all who knew him.

The funeral was held at Oak Grove church Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with interment in the Oak Grove cemetery, the Rev. Fred Nichols officiating.
