Column 2THE DEATH OF MISS
CATHARINE RAMSEYLockie Catharine Ramsey, oldest child of Mrs. Margaret (White) Ramsey and the late Samuel Ramsey, died at her home in Wichita, Kas., November 2, of cancer, after an extended illness, aged about fifty years. Miss Catharine and her mother had spent the winter visiting her brother Robert in Chicago, and were with relatives in Illinois for a few weeks, then returned to Wichita where she entered the hospital for an operation. This was followed by several minor operations in hopes of checking the malady which had laid its hand upon her, but all were without avail. Her going deprives her mother of a devoted friend and companion, the dear comfort of her declining years. There are remaining of the family Mattie, living in Wichita, James of California and Robert, of Chicago.
The funeral will be conducted from the Lowrey funeral home in Colchester, Ill., Friday afternoon. The hour of the service was not announced in the telegram received by relatives here. Burial will be in Colchester.
