Hannibal, Mo., Sept. 23 -- Mrs. Emma Bell Preston, 97, died at 2:45 this morning in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Warren Watts, at 3914 Market.
Funeral services will be held at 11 Friday morning in the Smith funeral home with the Rev. Everett Turner in charge. Burial will be at La Harpe, Ill.
Mrs. Preston was born Nov. 13, 1861, the daughter of P. D. and Margaret Dale Williams. She was married to J. M. Preston, who died in 1940. She formerly lived in Newark.
Surviving besides Mrs. Watts are another daughter, Mrs. M. J. McEntire of Jefferson City; a son, Frank D., of Matthews, Va.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. E. J. Bellew of Des Moines, Ia. One son, four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
