Leslie H. Prather, 77, of Memphis, Missouri, passed away Friday, November 12, 1976, at the Davis County Hospital, in Bloomfield, Iowa. He was born May 27, 1899, in Scotland County, Missouri, the son of Maude Lough and Charles A. Prather.
On October 9, 1925, he married Edna Smith in Quincy, Illinois, and to this union two sons were born, Robert and Harold Lewis.
Preceding him in death were three brothers, Frank, Joe and Fred.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Herb and Tom; and one sister, Mrs. Blanch Kellogg.
Funeral services were conducted by D. W. Payne & Sons, Sunday, November 14, 1976, at 2 p.m. from their Memphis Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Campbell officiating. The organist was Ann Luther. Pallbearers were George Egbert, Burdett Kice, Jake Blessing, Jack Blessing, Bob Simpson, Don Pence. Interment was in the Memphis Cemetery.
